ST. PAUL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH

A House of Prayer!

"2012 Theme
"Experiencing the Transforming Power of Prayer."
2nd Kings 6:8-23; Matthew 21:13

"Prepare yourselves for an experience you'll never match with any other church activity. The church that comes alive with prayer is said to be a dynamic and powerful church in all areas of ministry. Our goal is not only to develop our prayer ministry but also to become a House of Prayer. It is written my house shall be called the house of prayer... "God wants His church to be a praying church. In order for us to move toward our goal we must recognize that we are not the house of prayer that God wants us to be; that we have fallen short; and have a need for cleansing. As we move forward let us pray this prayer of repentance and preparation together.

Prayer of Preparation

Lord God, You know our church, you know each and every member of our congregation. We belong to you, and we desire to please you and become a house of prayer. To be known as a praying congregation. But in order to do this, we understand that we must be clean before you. So please God help each and everyone of us to be open and transparent before you. We invite The Holy Spirit to point out any thing that is displeasing to you in our lives or in the life of this congregation. Grant us the courage to be willing to say what you want us to say, to submit our wills to Yours, and to take the proper steps that you show us. As leaders and members of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, we covenant before you to allow your Holy Spirit to work in our hearts. Please God enable us to do what you show us to do. In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.                                                                                                    ----Amen
