Building From Within

Greetings, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.

Here at St. Paul we are "Building From Within in 2010". St. Paul's goal for 2010 is to move to another level of commitment...by building a better you. The buzz word for 2010 is

"EXCITED".

        Excited about serving "God"
Excited about ministering to our "Families"
Excited about the life of the "Church"
Excited about studying "God's Word"
Excited about attending "Sunday School"
Excited about "Tithing"
Excited about attending "Prayer Meeting"
Excited about attending "Church Regularly"
Excited about "Witnessing"
Excited about singing in the "Choir"
Excited about serving on the "Usher Board"
Excited about working in the "Mission"
Excited about "Teaching"

How do we do this... we must "Commit" ourselves.

Sometimes the best way to build is to return to the fundamentals. Really that's what championship coaches do when they want to sharpen the skills of their players, they return to fundamentals. As we build from within I am reminded of some basic fundamentals of our Christian walk they are faith, hope and charity (love), these three.

Faith - is the foundation and content of God's message for without faith it is impossible to believe. The Hebrew writer shares that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, it is the evidence of things not seen". In other words to have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, it is to be certain of the things we cannot see.

Hope - is more than a troubled person longing for better days. Hope is the attitude and focus that we should project toward God and in God's message. Hope is to have confidence in God and to believe God's promises for hope means to trust God.

Charity - is the high esteem, which God has for his children and the high regard in which they in turn should have for Him and other people. "And now abideth faith, hope and charity these three, but the greatest of these is charity" 1 Cor: 13:13.
Faith and hope are great yet love is greater.

Revisiting these basic fundamentals and putting them into practice will strengthen our skills and help us to "Build From Within in 2010" as we move to another level of commitment by building a better you.
