PAUL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH "2012
Theme "Prepare
yourselves for an experience you'll never match with any other church activity.
The church that comes alive with prayer is said to be a dynamic and powerful
church in all areas of ministry. Our goal is not only to develop our prayer
ministry but also to become a House of Prayer. It is written my house shall be
called the house of prayer... "God wants His church to be a praying church.
In order for us to move toward our goal we must recognize that we are not the
house of prayer that God wants us to be; that we have fallen short; and have a
need for cleansing. As we move forward let us pray this prayer of repentance and
preparation together.
Introduction of Pastor He is blessed with a loving and caring woman of faith, his wife, Mary, a son Michael, Jr. and a granddaughter Trinity. As the Under Shepherd, he is a powerful preacher and knowledgeable teacher of the word of God and performs pastoral care and counseling. He brought many other gifts to the ministry. He is strongly supported by the "First Lady, Sis Mary Poke who brings many gifts and skills of her own to the ministry. The pastor office hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., The Church phone number is (304)727-1742, Pastor's Study (304)727-1085, Church Fax number (304)727-1082. Every Sunday Morning from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. there is "coffee with the Pastor" which is an opportunity for the membership to voice concerns, exchange ideas and get acquainted with others as well as with the pastor. A light repast is served with "Coffee with the Pastor". Mugs with a picture of St. Paul are distributed to all who attend. The Pastor states his and Sis. Poke's overall vision is to follow the divine mandate as Christians, which is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, to lead sinners to salvation and an abundant life. It is equally their God-ordained mandate to liberate those who are oppressed in order that they may experience the true and whole freedom for which they were so created.
